Fatigue of the rope near the sockets

This report can be kept very short because the Group has not had many activities. There may be two causes for this lack of activity: The first possibility is that nobody has special problems in this field – which is rather improbable and the second possibility is that the problems are so specific that everybody has to find his solution by himself and not in a working group. In the case of cables the second reason is the usual one, and I cannot see why it should be different with regard to the sockets. I therefore think that the second cause can be considered to be the true one.
