About the problem of the hardness of the grooves of the pulleys to be used in the fatigue tests on wire -ropes

The text of the questionnaire of professor Giovannozzi which had been  diffused on July the 4th and the received answers are published.      During the meeting of the Management Committee of the O.I.P.E.E.C. , which took place in Cologne on the 27th of April 1964 an important question was discussed, that had not been studied thoroughly at the General Meeting in Zürich, concerning the performance modalities of fatigue tests of the progamme agreed upon and, precisely, the following question :
